Los Angeles Area Fires - Emergency Resources and Updates
We are devastated to watch the fires unfolding around the Los Angeles area and are working to help spread updates and resources to families in our community.
Evacuation and Emergency Shelter
Get alerts directly to your phone by signing up for local emergency alerts at listoscalifornia.org/alerts or LA County's emergency page For evacuation shelters, see the information below:
You can look up evacuation status and nearby shelters based on your location using the Genasys Protect website. If you are instructed to evacuate, the American Red Cross has a checklist in this article.
If your home has lost power that you need for your child's life-sustaining equipment, contact the Disability Disaster Access & Resource Center for your county, which can help provide transportation, short-term housing, or backup power.
Airbnb is also offering temporary housing to those impacted by the fires, so contact 211LA by dialing 2-1-1 to coordinate if you're in need. There may be a waitlist.

- Special Needs Network (SNN): Families who need assistance with locating accessible evacuation centers, guidance on disability-specific emergency services, or coordination of resources to address disruptions in care and services can contact Special Needs Network at info@snnla.org.
