Can a child on alternate curriculum be in general educaton?

Our children need to be making meaningful progress on standards-based IEP goals, regardless of the type of curriculum they are on. Dr. Caitlin Solone, special education advocate and faculty at UCLA, explains that some school districts do not allow alternate curriculum in a general education classroom, as practices vary by district, but you can still have a conversation about it with your IEP team!
