Parent Question

Can I apply for Regional Center if my child doesn't have a diagnosis?

Published: Oct. 3, 2024Updated: Oct. 3, 2024

You may have concerns about your child's development but not have received a specific diagnosis. If your child is under age 3, Regional Center's early intervention program can provide assessment for diagnosis as well as services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. You can start by contacting your local Regional Center and requesting an evaluation for your child.

For more information, see our article about Regional Center early intervention services.
