Can I request aid paid pending appeal in the Self-Determination Program?

If you receive a Notice of Action (NOA) proposing to reduce or terminate a service in your SDP spending plan, you must file your appeal in writing within 30 days of receiving the NOA and request that services continue at their current level until the dispute is resolved.
If the Regional Center attempts to lower your total budget or remove a service you were already receiving through SDP, requesting "aid paid pending" ensures your funding remains at the current level during the fair hearing process.
