Parent Question

Can my child get IEP services while in Home Hospital placement?

Published: Aug. 8, 2024

If your child is in Home Hospital placement, you can arrange for your child to get IEP services, but the school is not required to meet the service minutes written into your child's IEP. The school providers will usually do virtual service.

If the school doesn’t offer any IEP services while your child is in Home Hospital, you may want to sign the IEP in disagreement stating as such so that you can work it out.
