Parent Question

Can my child's IEP support my request for IHSS protective supervision hours?

Published: Feb. 21, 2025

If you're applying for IHSS protective supervision hours for your child, you may want to use your child's IEP to support their need for close supervision at school. If your child needs close adult supervision for safety, you can ask that your IEP team document that need in the IEP. You could even highlight that portion of the IEP to show your IHSS case worker.
