Do respite hours carry over from month to month?

It sometimes takes a while to get respite going once Regional Center has approved this service, so you may wonder whether any unused hours roll over into the next month. Generally, the answer is no. Monthly respite hours are typically use-it-or-lose-it. Sometimes, there will be hours authorized on a quarterly basis for exceptions, and sometimes those are just to be used within the authorized period. However, for regular monthly respite, it generally does not roll over.
