Supporting a child with FASD is so important, and it can also feel incredibly hard when schools don’t fully understand brain-based differences or aren’t sure how FASD fits into special education categories. So, when an IEP is truly FASD-informed, it can be a game changer. The earlier a child’s needs are recognized, and the more educators understand how FASD impacts learning and behavior, the better the long-term outcomes for that child.
