How do I find a list of non-public schools (NPS) for my child?
Published: Oct. 21, 2024
If you're looking for a list of non-public schools (NPS) to consider for your child's IEP placement, you should be able to ask your local SELPA for a list of NPS options. SELPA legally has to provide a list annually that they contract with.
Undivided Education Advocate Lisa Carey recommends looking at all NPS options in the county and neighboring counties, rather than only your school district. You can check out this school directory from the California Department of Education to see all your options.
