How do I get a disability placard for the car?
Published: Sep. 2, 2025Updated: Feb. 23, 2026
In California, you can apply for a Permanent Disabled Person Parking Placard on behalf of your child. The process involves obtaining medical documentation from your child's doctor to include with the application. Note that the pass follows the child, not you or your vehicle, which means your child always has to be with you for you to use it.
For a step-by-step walkthrough to help you apply for a disability placard and how to use it, check out this goal in the Undivided app.
