How often do IEP meetings occur?
Published: Mar. 14, 2022Updated: Mar. 17, 2022
IEP meetings are required to be held annually, no longer than 12 months from the date of the last annual IEP. A parent can request an IEP meeting at any time they feel it’s necessary. Once the school receives a request for a meeting outside of the annual or triennial IEP, the meeting must be held within 30 calendar days of the request (not including days between the school’s regular sessions, terms, or vacation in excess of five school days).
