If I already have protective supervision, how often do I have to resubmit or apply again?
If your child has been approved for protective supervision hours, you may wonder how long before you have to reapply. It will vary. There is an option on the form for the doctor to check permanent or temporary. But if they check permanent, that does not mean that you're never going to have to fill out that form again, but it might mean that you have to fill it out less often based on your child's age and how things are progressing. They're going to tell you when you have the annual home visit if they want you to have that film form filled out again; the notice that says that they're coming for the home visit will say something like, “You need the following forms.” It will tell you all of the forms that they expect you to have. And if it doesn't, then they might bring it and hand it to you and say, “We need you to have this filled out by your doctor.”
As the child gets older, it's generally not going to be every year. It might be more often when they're younger, but it's not necessarily going to be every year. It might be every other year or every third year; it's going to vary. It may also vary depending on your child's specific diagnosis.
