If my child has been homeschooled until age 18, can they enroll in a district adult transition program?

Assuming the child has not gotten a diploma yet, they should be eligible for an IEP and the transition program. The local district is responsible for providing a free and appropriate education through age 22. The program will likely do a reassessment within 30 days of enrolling; it's good to have those assessments when the child transitions out at 22. Most programs focus on life skills, not academics, but you can push back that there should be basic academics happening as reading, writing, basic math skills, and basic computer skills are critical to independent living.
