If my child is on the Medi-Cal waiver, does that include dental coverage?

Published: Feb. 13, 2026Updated: Feb. 23, 2026

For children, Denti-Cal is included with Medi-Cal. If you have private insurance, you want to get fee-for-service Denti-Cal to have access to hospitals. Fee-for-service Denti-Cal is separate from fee-for-service Medi-Cal.
