If my child used to be a Regional Center client, how do I apply for services again?
Published: Jan. 29, 2026Updated: Feb. 23, 2026
If your child used to receive early intervention services from Regional Center but lost eligibility between ages 3 and 5, you may wonder if you should start a new application or try to reopen their case years later.
Call the Regional Center assigned to your zip code and ask if your child is still a client so that you can reinstate services. You should also email to make sure your request is documented. The staff should be able to tell you whether you can resume services or whether you must reapply. If you need to reapply, follow Undivided's step-by-step guidance in the app:
