Los Angeles Area Emergency Resources and Updates
Evacuation and Emergency Shelter
Get alerts directly to your phone by signing up for local emergency alerts at listoscalifornia.org/alerts or LA County's emergency page, which will also have up to date information about evacuation shelters.
Note that various services are available at evacuation shelters, even if you are not staying at one. You can look up evacuation status and nearby shelters based on your location using the Genasys Protect website.
If your home has lost power that you need for your child's life-sustaining equipment, contact the Disability Disaster Access & Resource Center for your county, which can help provide transportation, short-term housing, or backup power.
If you’ve evacuated and need to replace your medications, insurance providers in the state are typically ordered to suspend prescription refill limits and out-of-network restrictions for members affected by an emergency.
Contact 211LA by dialing 2-1-1 to coordinate temporary housing if you're in need.
