Reframing a situation as an experience rather than “something bad” can help change a child's mindset around an anxiety-filled situation. Dr. Lauren Stutman of CARE-LA says that slowly pushing a little bit out of their comfort zone can bring more comfort to the experience and will help the body get used to the feared situation.
