Inclusion isn’t negotiable, and when we send our children to school, we expect the school to know this. Sadly, many don’t, as Lelah candidly shares here, leaving parents of disabled children to do the work and fight the fight to get them what they need and deserve. Our heart goes out to Jack and Lelah, and all the other families whose first day didn’t go as planned.
