Parent Question

What do I do if Regional Center says no to my request but won't give me an NOA?

Published: Jul. 18, 2025Updated: Aug. 9, 2025

If you request additional services from Regional Center and they decide to deny your request, you should receive a Notice of Action (NOA) in the mail with the reason for the denial as well as instructions for appealing the denial.

If you have been asking for weeks and your service coordinator or their supervisor keeps saying no and not issuing NOA, then you could request a hearing because they failed to issue an NOA but denied the service.
