Parent Question

What if the school district denies my request for an IEE?

Published: Mar. 6, 2025

If you've requested an IEE and the school district has denied your request, you may wonder what your options are. You can pay for the evaluation out of pocket, or you can file for due process. The district will instigate due process if you do not drop the IEE request; they have to send a formal prior written notice (PWN) indicating their reason for denying your request for an IEE.
