What is the Lanterman Act?

The Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, also called the Lanterman Act, outlines the rights and services provided by the state to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Lanterman Act also defines what is considered a substantial disability to qualify for services provided by the statewide network of Regional Centers.
