Undivided Resources
Parent Question

What resources can help my child after high school but before they're ready for a job or college?

Published: Feb. 21, 2025

If your child is nearing high school graduation or has just finished high school but isn't ready yet for a job or college, one of the best resources to help them is the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). Through the DOR, students and adults with disabilities can get work training opportunities, job coaching, college coaching, and other services designed to help them gain education and employment. Different services are available to current high school students versus young adults who have already graduated. The DOR will work with each person to create an individual employment plan and coordinate services to help them achieve their goals.
