Parent Question

What should I write on IHSS form SOC 321 for my child's CPAP?

Published: Oct. 21, 2024

If you're applying for IHSS paramedical services for your child, the application process involves getting a statement indicating the paramedical care your child needs, how often, and how much time it takes.

Undivided Public Benefits Specialist Lisa Concoff Kronbeck recommends that if you want to claim time for your child's CPAP, you should break it down by task in terms of how long each thing takes. You have to put it on and take it off. You have to clean the parts. You have to refill the water tank. If the child takes it off throughout the night, you have to fix it. You have to replace certain parts periodically. You have to check the readings. Each task has its own time frame in terms of how often and how long it takes, so detail this all on form SOC 321. You can attach extra pages as needed.
