Where can I download Social Story templates?

Published: Dec. 11, 2025Updated: Dec. 11, 2025

We've created a library of visual story templates that you can print at home or pull up on your device to read together with your child. Whether you're preparing for a new school year or you want to help your child know what's in their IEP, you can use these customizable and printable stories to make the topic easier to understand and start a conversation about how to prepare for upcoming changes.

We also highly recommend creating your own custom Social Story! In our article What is a Social Story?, we talk to Social Story™ creator Carol Gray about what makes Social Stories so effective for kids with disabilities and how to write one that's tailored to your child's individual strengths and needs. Check out our article How to Write a Social Story — With Templates to see an example of how to put Carol Gray's guidelines into action and get tips for creating a dynamic and engaging Social Story for your child.
