Where can I find example math IEP goals?

Published: Jul. 22, 2025Updated: Aug. 9, 2025

Scroll to the bottom of our article Math Goals in the IEP to see a list of IEP goals that target different skills such as solving word problems, plotting data on a graph, getting help from peers, measuring, drawing diagrams, using a calculator to check answers, using manipulatives and other tools, and even working on algebra skills.

Remember that IEP goals need to be written specifically in relation to your child’s present levels as a baseline. It's also helpful to develop benchmark goals to check on progress.
