Who is my child's case manager at school?
Published: May. 23, 2025Updated: Jun. 6, 2025
Sometimes called a case carrier, a case manager is the person responsible for overseeing special education for a student with an IEP. Typically, the case manager is the RSP/SAI teacher assigned to a student, but every school does this differently.
If you are unsure of who your child's case manager is, especially when transitioning to a new school, you can contact the school and ask for the head of special education, who should be able to connect you with the case manager assigned to your child. You can also ask in a transition IEP meeting.
