Why did I receive an EVV compliance letter?
If you received a letter notifying you of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), it pertains to your child receiving in-home services from Regional Center or Medi-Cal/IHSS, depending on who sent the letter.
EVV is a Medicaid requirement for in-home workers when the provider is paid through Medicaid (Medi-Cal in California). EVV is required for workers from any agency that provides staff who directly work with clients and need to clock in/clock out at the client's home location. For example, if your child has respite workers or a personal assistant (PA), they have to clock in/out at your home, and the app will verify with GPS they are at your home. Every direct care provider has to comply with EVV.
IHSS live-in providers are exempt. SDP live-in providers are also exempt. If your child only has live-in providers, don't worry; they send this letter out to everyone.
