Parent Question

Will Regional Center help fund diapers or pull-ups?

Published: Sep. 12, 2025Updated: Sep. 12, 2025

Yes, Regional Center can help fund incontinence supplies like diapers or pull-ups as a payor of last resort. If your child is a Medi-Cal recipient, you'll need to go through Medi-Cal first. If you can't get the products your child needs through a Medi-Cal contracted supply company, you can request that Regional Center reimburse you. You'll need to obtain a doctor's prescription and a denial letter from Medi-Cal.

We have a step-by-step guide to the process in the Undivided app:

Public Benefits goal
Receive incontinence supplies from Regional Center (with Medi-Cal)

2 tasks
Regional Center clients must meet certain criteria in order to have incontinence supplies covered. Learn what the requirements are and how to apply for this funding.
If your child does not have Medi-Cal coverage, you will still need to obtain a written denial of coverage from your private insurance, plus a prescription from your child's doctor. Follow our step-by-step guide for expert tips to help you:
