Make IEP prep easier with help from Undivided! We'll provide support through every part of the process, from reviewing documents to discussing goals with your IEP team to making sure accommodations and services are implemented as the school agreed to.

1. Get organized with your Undivided digital super binder

Upload last year’s IEP, any assessment or progress reports you’ve received since then, updates from your child’s medical and therapy providers, and any other relevant documents like your child’s work samples or draft goals for the new IEP that you received from the district.

2. Identify priorities for the new IEP with your Navigator

If you haven’t already, start a list of items you want to discuss with your IEP team at the upcoming meeting. Your Navigator can help you identify priorities and organize concerns. Your Navigator is also your go-to resource for recommended articles and videos in the Undivided library on topics you want to learn more about — from accommodations to 1:1 aides, therapies, and more.

3. Prep for the IEP meeting with our step-by-step guides and printables

Follow Undivided’s step-by-step guide for IEP prep with tips, suggested tasks, talking points, and helpful printables, like our Vision Statement template to help your whole IEP team get on the same page about your long-term goals for your child. The Undivided guide will take you through every aspect of IEP prep from confirming the date of the meeting to making sure you know what to review before you sign anything.

4. Invite your Navigator or Undivided’s Education Advocate for extra support

We always recommend bringing someone with you to help take notes, make sure your priorities are covered, remind everyone to take periodic breaks, and provide emotional support — let’s face it, sometimes IEPs get emotional! Undivided Navigators and our Education Advocate are available to attend IEP meetings as an add-on service when you need extra support.

5. Follow up after the IEP meeting with suggestions from our step-by-step guides and your Navigator

When the school puts something down in writing, it’s important to hold them accountable! Undivided’s step-by-step guide to following up on your child’s IEP will walk you through making sure accommodations/modifications and services are being implemented as you agreed to. Any time something isn’t going the way it should, Undivided is here to offer support during Office Hours with experts, Boost calls and unlimited messaging with your Navigator, our vast library of resources, and our amazing parent community.
