MathType writes math equations and chemical formulas in Google Docs and Google Slides
ModMath is an iPad app that helps kids with dyslexia and dysgraphia do math. (FREE, $4.99 for pro version)
Equatio moves math into digital instruction and helps students hear their math read aloud to them. It helps students to visualize and explore a written equation. (Free trial/$150 per year for a single license; teachers have free access.)
The Math Learning Center has 10 stand-alone Chrome and iOS apps for math manipulatives. The apps include fractions, math clock, number lines, and more. (FREE)
Dexteria Dots - Get in Touch with Math is an app that helps students practice their math skills while working on dexteria skills at the same time.
Plus 10: A Math Practice Set for Special Education & Intellectual Disabilities is an inexpensive packet for students to practice their addition math skills.
ArithmeType Math Keyboard is designed specifically to help students learn mathematics. The keyboard locates the numbers, operations, common math letters and symbols in one plug-and-play device that works alongside the computer. The output of math is therefore more fluid compared to a standard QWERTY keyboard.
Arithmetic Board Home School Math Counting Educational Teaching Aid with Dice is a tactile board with removable pieces to help blind or visually impaired students learn math skills.

Kahn Academy: Short videos for each math standard from preschool all the way to high school.
DoodleMaths is an app for kids that boosts maths confidence and ability by creating every child a unique maths experience tailored to their needs
Photomath allows students (or helping parents) to scan the math problem with their phone, and it offers a step by step explanation about how to complete the assignment. (FREE, or $9.99/month for Photomath Plus). Heads up, some teachers don’t like students using this! But it’s a great tool for parents who can’t remember their algebra days.
Math curriculum resources for teachers and IEP teams
IXL Math: Recommended by an educational therapist, IXL Math helps students learn at their own pace with adaptive questions that automatically adjust to the right level of difficulty. A wide variety of questions keeps practice sessions fresh and enables all types of learners to reach their full potential. Parents can keep track of students’ progress, and learning can be adjusted easily depending on skill level. Choose from a bundle of all core subjects at a monthly or yearly subscription or choose specific subjects such as math. IXL’s curriculum also aligns with the California Common Core Content Standards and the California Preschool Learning Foundations.
MobyMax: MobyMax's adaptive curriculum enables teachers to create individualized education plans for students at any level, allowing them to progress at their own pace. MobyMax uses personalized learning to identify learning gaps in all K–8 subjects and reports progress to the teacher. This personalized learning approach is implemented via online adaptive technology. Their curriculum includes a suite of classroom tools with features like diagnostic testing, progress monitoring, assessments, adaptive lessons, and student motivational and communication tools that encourage students to use the program from home. Subjects include adaptive math, adaptive science, adaptive social studies, language arts, early reading, reading, phonics, writing, and test prep/review.
TouchMath: TouchMath's multisensory program makes math engaging and accessible for students of all abilities who struggle to understand content at their grade level. They offer complete instructional programs, motivational computer programs, and classroom aides that allow the student to work at their own pace. Their catalog offers a variety of workbooks, programs, and resources based on individual needs and skill level. Items can be bought individually or in packages.
Shiller Learning: Shiller Learning offers “research-based curricula, music, manipulatives, flashcards, and workbooks” to help kids learn math skills. Their packages include Montessori-based lesson guides, diagnostic tests, parent guides, hands-on materials, and more. Math Kit I is geared toward grades Pre-K to 3 and Math Kit II is meant for grades 4 to 8; both offer virtual options and all their kits can be found here.
